Eating: my dreams
The other day I uploaded some Photoshop styles to GraphicRiver that I had sitting around in my portfolio that were just collecting dust. I get this message back from the reviewer:
"Unfortunately, your submission is too similar to existing item(s) in our marketplace. Your upload must be a unique concept not based on any existing marketplace item."
This strikes me odd considering GraphicRiver hasn't even been around for 5 years. So I browse the photoshop text effects portion of their marketplace and I find a plethora of photoshop styles that were copied from a lot of pieces I uploaded here.
So as some of you know, I've given away from designs, logos, text effects, etc... through deviantart, well all it takes is one bad apple to ruin the bunch. I will now not be giving away any more free items and I am going to be removing all of my artwork for my online portfolios so that no one is able to steal my work and republish it as their own.
I guess I could go through the DMCA notice act but unfortunately I really just don't have the time to do all of that nonsense. So instead, I'm just going to remove my artwork and not upload any more items due to thieves taking our hard work and claiming it as their own.
Just sad how they can get away with this stuff.
